10:15 am holy communion 11:00 am morning worship 1st sunday: parish communion 2nd sunday: family service (relaxed) 3rd sunday: service of holy baptism 4th sunday: morning prayer 5th sunday: songs of praise 7:00 pm evening prayer holy communion on 4th sunday also on sunday… also on sunday 11am - all children will meet in church (along with their families) and will leave with their teachers during the service to go to the hall for sunday school. they will be collected in the hall by their parents after the morning service is over. church mice: pre-school age sunday school: 4-12 years (p1-p7 & 1st year) junior bible class: 13 & 14 years (2nd & 3rd years) if you are not a member of another church congregation and would like to join us for worship on a sunday you will be made very welcome at any of our services. choir practice or praise group practice is usually on a wednesday night at 7:30 pm, or as arranged. mid-week fellowship and bible study also takes place on a wednesday evening. who we are revd. elizabeth cairns originally from the birches, just outside portadown, i am married to eddie and we have three grown up children, andrew, christopher and rebecca. i was called to join the church army in 1986. i did my training at the church army college in blackheath in london, and following commissioning by the archbishop of canterbury in june 1990, returned to northern ireland to serve in different parishes and dioceses as a parish evangelist: ballynure & ballyclare, seapatrick banbridge, waringstown and donaghcloney, and in ardmore parish as evangelist in charge. following a call to ordination, i was ordained in june 2009, and went to serve in st. columba's portadown, initially as a curate assistant, and then to be appointed as vicar. on 20th september 2013 i was instituted as rector of mullavilly. in my spare time i enjoy travelling and holidays. i also enjoy dining out and discovering lovely places to eat and relax. the readers & organist caroline whitten, margaret neill, colin patterson (readers) and wendy walsh (organist) the select vestry julie magowan (honorary secretary), colin patterson (honorary treasurer) rector's glebewarden: jackie mcintyre, people's glebe warden: jim king robert jennett, valerie milne, herbie pearson, freddie irwin, tanya mckitterick, adam magowan, caroline whitten, wendy walsh, david shortt, willie mcdonald. the churchwardens rector's churchwarden: andrew milne ✢ people's churchwarden: josie mcdonald what we do at mullavilly our children and young people are very important to us, as they are not only our future church, but very much part of our church today, which is why we try to provide a range of activities for them to engage in. these activities range from sunday school, church mice, bumblebees parent and toddler group, kids' club, rainbows, brownies, boy's club, and youth fellowship. we also have a varied range of organisations for adults. if you are interested in bible study, indoor bowling, mothers union, badminton, or wish to join with the friendship group, you will be made most welcome. we also have a very dedicated group of people who help as part of a catering team, who are happy to help with special lunches, teas, or special occasions. youth fellowship meets each week in the parish centre sundays 8:00pm 13-18yrs - informal kids' club for children aged 8-11years (p5-p7) meets 6:30- 7:30 on tuesdays for details, please contact the rector rainbows 4-7 year-olds meet on mondays 6:30 - 7:45 bowling club mondays and thursday at 8pm friendship group 1st thursday each month at 10:30 am badminton club 3rd wednesday of each month at 12:30 everybody welcome! parents and toddlers tuesdays: 10:00 -
